White Flowers in Maine Spring

The forests and roadsides of Deer Isle, Maine were alive with spring flowers this June.  The voluptuous scented lilacs still rule the day, but subtle whites, deep purple stripes and dark pink buds can astound. The gnarled roots of a fallen tree add texture.

Nancy, The Maine wildflowers I have have loved best have always been white.
